Today, on August 21, LUCSUS kicked off its new mentorship programme for researchers with a first meeting between the programme leader Katarina Billing and the mentors.

During the day the mentors got a crash course in mentoring and opportunity to network with some of the other mentors. They also met program staff and got an introduction to the program.

The purpose of the program is to offer leadership development to selected researchers of the strategic research area Sustainable Development. Gender, diversity and intersectionalityare focus areas of the program. The target group consists of post docs and early or mid-career researchers at LUCSUS. The aim of the program is to build capacity and leadership skills among our early to mid-level career postdocs and researchers to enable fair and equal opportunity for career development at Lund University.

The mentorship programme is running from 2019 to 2020 and is led by Katarina Billing, INDEA. Katarina is a certified Psychologist and Coach with extensive experience from leading mentorship programmes within and outside academia and at Lund University.
