Welcome to a film screening of the documentary Karuara, People of the River on March 20. After the film screening there will be a panel discussion with the filmmakers Stephanie Boyd and Miguel Araoz as well as researchers from LUCSUS and Raoul Wallenberg Institute.  

About the film: 

Beneath the waters of Peru's Amazon lies a world of spirits led by the Karuara, the 'people of the river'. A brave Indigenous woman and her family confront powerful interests to save their river and these sacred beings.
