Mötesplats Biosfär - from research to innovation, from innovation to transformation

Are you a researcher, societal actor, decision-maker or research funder? Do you like to collaborate across sectors and topics to find innovative solutions for sustainable communities? In that case, Mötesplats Biosfär is the conference for you! Here we explore opportunities to develop practical solutions for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda with Sweden's biosphere reserves as arenas.
Mötesplats Biosfär is the first national biosphere conference that aims to strengthen the link between knowledge development, practice and policy. Our aim is to create a meeting place for researchers, decision-makers, research funders and societal actors to jointly discover the possibility of biosphere reserves as arenas for research and innovation related to the global sustainability goals. The conference is also an opportunity to strengthen the biosphere reserves' knowledge of current research areas and interests linked to the 2030 Agenda.
Mötesplats Biosfär focuses on local and national conditions and also draws inspiration from other countries. The programme includes academic and traditional knowledge with contributions from research and community experiences, and creates ample opportunity for dialogue and discussions between participants.
The conference will be held as one conference in two physical places: Umeå in the north and Kristianstad in the south. Main organizer for the southern part of the conference is the thematic collaboration initiative LU Land, with a grant from Region Skåne's Environmental Protection Fund.
