30 Years of LUMES, 10 - 12 June 2027
From a Systems Perspective to Driving Transformational Change
Welcome to a conference celebrating 30 years of education in sustainability! Don't miss this unique opportunity to reconnect with fellow LUMES alumni, revisit memories, and engage in inspiring discussions about the future.
We have two aims! To connect alumni working in different fields, and to connect people from different LUMES generations. Through reflecting on 30 years of LUMES, we want to exchange experiences, ideas, knowledge and world views so we can learn and develop together.
– Barry Ness, LUMES Director, and third batch LUMES graduate
What is the alumni LUMES conference?
Before the corona pandemic, LUCSUS gathered the LUMES alumni every 2–5 years for a conference created by and for our alumni. The most recent conference took place in 2017.
Now we are looking forward to meeting again for an event that we hope will be a great blend of meaningful discussions and joyful reunions.
Programme
The programme is based on feedback from LUMES alumni, and will feature a mix of keynote talks, workshops, field seminars, networking and social activities, including a big party to conclude the conference!
The official conference programme is 10 – 11 June. On Saturday, 12 June, we encourage the LUMES to batches to self-organise for activities and batch reunions!
Registration
The registration will open in early January. To receive the registration link, you need to be registered in the Lund University alumni network.
To register yourself and to make sure that your contact details are up to date, please visit the Lund University Alumni page.
Who can join?
The conference is for alumni of the LUCSUS Master’s Programme in Environmental Studies and Sustainability Science (LUMES). It is open to all batches, and LUCSUS encourages a broad participation.
