LUMES - Environmental Studies and Sustainability Science

Do you want to be part of solving key sustainability challenges of today and tomorrow and become an agent for change? Then our Master of Science programme in Environmental Studies and Sustainability Science (LUMES) might be the programme for you.

LUMES is a 2-years interdisciplinary masters programme focusing on sustainability challenges from a local to a global level through combining both social and natural science perspectives.

Since the programme started in 1997, LUMES has had more than 1000 students from roughly 100 countries, with a graduation rate exceeding 90 per cent.

The programme is fully conducted in English and is open to applicants of all academic backgrounds. To be eligible you must hold a Bachelor’s degree corresponding to at least 180 ECTS, and have proficiency in spoken and written English, equivalent to English 6/B in the Swedish upper secondary school system.

The programme is open for application once a year. Studies start in August.
