
Annsofie Micallef Nilsson
Project assistant

AnnSofie Micallef-Nilsson is a project assistant at Lund University. She holds two Master's degrees in environmental science with a focus on management from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences and the University of Hohenheim. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in ecological technology from Mid Sweden University. Her fields of interest include energy transitions in both the Global North and Global South, the gendered implications of climate change, and sustainable transitions. She has experience in systemic research on how labor-saving technologies influence economic conditions and women’s empowerment in the Global South.
AnnSofie is involved in two projects at Lund University, TRANSFORM and WaterWarmth, where she takes on a range of responsibilities. In TRANSFORM, a project focused on enhancing the capacity of small and medium enterprises to transition to sustainable and resilient business models, she leads agricultural experiments in hop production. She is also actively involved in data research and analysis within the project. WaterWarmth is a project that provides pilots with practical know-how to integrate aquathermal energy into their operations. AnnSofie works closely with the pilots to support the energy transition, leads conference organization, and systematically reviews and analyzes data.
