Nuclear Power: Past, Present, and Future
We welcome you to a seminar with Mycle Schneider on Nuclear Power: Past, Present, and Future. Mycle Schneider is a recipient of the Right Livelihood Award.
Schneider is the initiator, Convening Lead Author, and publisher of the World Nuclear Industry Status Report (WNISR). He is also a recipient of the Right Livelihood Award.
The World Nuclear Industry Status Report has been published annually since 2007 and has evolved into a publication with probably the world's most comprehensive data sets on the nuclear enterprise, combined with analysis and case studies produced by a range of experts under the coordination by Mycle Schneider.
The seminar will provide a general overview of the development and status of nuclear energy in the world followed by a special focus on the topical issues of nuclear financing and the role of geopolitics as a driver in turbulent times. It includes the most recent updates since the publication of the report and online contribution from co-author Doug Koplow (Earth Track) focusing on nuclear economics and finance. Comments and questions from the audience will also guide the discussion.
