Carmen Margiotta

Born and raised in southern Italy, Carmen has recently joined LUCSUS as a doctoral student. She studied Anthropology and International Development in the United Kingdom (University of Sussex) and the United States (Elon University), and has a joint master´s degree in Environmental Sciences, Policy and Management from the Central European University, the University of the Aegean and Lund University. After completing her master´s thesis focused on participatory mapping with a First Nation community in Saskatchewan, Canada, she started her journey as a PhD Candidate within the NaturICE project, which looks at how human-nature relationships change as a consequence of glacier retreat in the Himalayas and Scandinavia.
